Marrakech, Atlas Mountains & Ancient Kasbahs
Your adventure begins with Agadir and Marrakech before crossing the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Discover the UNESCO-listed Ait Ben Haddou, explore Ouarzazate and travel through the Rose Valley before reaching the spectacular Dades and Todra Gorges.
Sahara Adventure in Merzouga
The highlight of the journey is the Merzouga Desert, where you’ll ride camels across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, watch the sunset, and spend the night in a private desert tent. The following morning, enjoy the sunrise before continuing through Rissani and the Draa Valley.
Return Through Southern Morocco
The journey back to Agadir takes you through Tamnougalt Kasbah, Agdez, Taznakht, Taliouine and Taroudant, giving you the opportunity to discover traditional crafts, saffron-growing regions, palm groves, and historic souks before returning to Agadir.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Agadir – Transfer to Your Accommodation
Overnight: Agadir
Your 7-Day Agadir Desert Tour to Merzouga begins with pickup from Agadir Al Massira Airport. Your driver will welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation in Agadir.
After check-in, enjoy free time to discover the city at your own pace. You can walk along the beach, explore the local surroundings, or visit Agadir Oufella for panoramic views over the city and coastline.
Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Agadir – Marrakech Guided Tour
Overnight: Marrakech
After breakfast, leave Agadir and travel toward Marrakech along the highway. During the journey, enjoy views of the changing landscapes and the distant High Atlas Mountains.
Upon arrival in Marrakech, meet your local guide and begin exploring the historic Medina.
Start with the iconic Koutoubia Mosque and Jamaa el-Fna Square, the lively heart of Marrakech. Continue through the colorful Medina streets while learning about Moroccan history, architecture, and traditions.
Visit Ben Youssef Madrasa, followed by the Bahia Palace and Badi Palace. Continue to the Saadian Tombs before visiting the famous Majorelle Garden.
After the guided tour, return to your accommodation and enjoy a free evening to explore Marrakech independently.

Day 3: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges

After breakfast, leave Marrakech and begin your journey toward the Sahara through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains.
Cross Tizi n’Tichka Pass, reaching approximately 2,260 meters above sea level. Stop along the way to enjoy panoramic views of the mountains and winding roads.
Continue toward Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the ancient kasbah, walk through its narrow passages, and learn about its history and traditional earthen architecture.
Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara and often called the “Hollywood of Africa.” Visit Atlas Studios, where numerous international films and series have been produced.
Continue through the Skoura Oasis and the beautiful Rose Valley before reaching Boumalne Dades.
In the Dades area, discover the impressive Monkey Toes rock formations and the famous winding Tissdrine road before settling into your accommodation.
Overnight: Dades Gorges.
Day 4: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Camel Trek & Desert Camp
Overnight: Merzouga Desert Camp
After breakfast, continue toward the highlight of the journey: the Erg Chebbi dunes of Merzouga.
Drive through the landscapes of Boumalne Dades and Tinghir before reaching the spectacular Todra Gorges. Stop here for a morning walk beside the river and admire the towering canyon walls.
Continue through traditional Berber villages such as Touroug and Mellab, gradually approaching the Sahara.
Arrive in Merzouga and begin your camel adventure across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. Ride through the desert and stop on a high dune to watch the spectacular Sahara sunset.
After sunset, continue to your desert camp and check into your private tent. Enjoy a traditional dinner followed by a Berber drum performance around the campfire.
Spend the evening relaxing beneath the stars or climbing the nearby dunes for a beautiful view of the night sky.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Tamnougalt Kasbah – Agdez
Overnight: Agdez
Wake up early to enjoy the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes before breakfast.
Continue toward Rissani, a historic oasis town and an important former trading center. Explore its traditional market and experience the authentic atmosphere of southern Morocco.
Continue through the desert landscapes and palm groves of the Draa Valley, home to numerous ancient kasbahs and traditional villages.
Visit Tamnougalt Kasbah, one of the region’s remarkable historical landmarks, and explore its traditional architecture and surrounding palm groves.
Continue to Agdez, where you’ll enjoy a panoramic view over the oasis before checking into your accommodation.
Overnight: Agdez.
Day 6: Agdez – Taznakht – Taliouine – Taroudant – Agadir
Overnight: Agadir
After breakfast, begin your return journey toward Agadir through the beautiful landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains.
Make your first stop in Taznakht, a small mountain town famous for its handmade Berber carpets. You can visit a local women’s cooperative to learn about traditional weaving and see artisans working on their carpets.
Continue toward Taliouine, Morocco’s famous saffron-growing region. Learn about the importance of saffron production in the local economy and enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery.
Continue to Taroudant, sometimes called the “Little Marrakech.” Walk along the city’s historic red walls and explore its traditional souks.
Finally, continue to Agadir, where you’ll be dropped off at your accommodation.
Overnight: Agadir.
Day 7: Agadir – Airport Transfer
After breakfast, enjoy your remaining free time in Agadir depending on your flight schedule.
At the agreed time, your private transfer will take you to Agadir Al Massira Airport for your departure.
